The two were living in a mobile home along Henryville Otisco Road when the March 2 tornadoes hit the Henryville area last year. They were inside when the structure was destroyed by the storm, and they were life-flighted to University of Louisville Hospital, with severe injuries, after they were found over 300 feet away from where their home once stood.
