Paul Bierman, Floyds Knobs, plants pumpkin seeds in a field on his father's farm at the corner of Balmer-Fenwick and Banet roads in Floyd County on Friday afternoon. He plans to sell the crop for jack-o-lanterns in the fall, and use the profits to help put his daughter through Indiana University Southeast.
