A jet liner flies overhead as a replica of the Christopher Columbus ship, the Pinta, sits docked on the Ohio River in downtown Louisville on Tuesday. Every three years replicas of the Niña and the Pinta are sailed from the Gulf of Mexico, up the East Coast, over to the Great Lakes, and through various waterways and rivers to eventually go up the Ohio River and end the journey in Pittsburgh. They are docked at various ports along the way for educational tours and will be open next to Joe's Crab Shack, 131 West River Rd., through September 4. Staff photo by Christopher Fryer
