Read MoreJanice Molnar, Jeffersonville, listens and harmonizes with music generated by solar-powered sound boxes as part of the installation "Sun Boxes" on the front lawn of the Carnegie Center for Art and History in downtown New Albany on Friday afternoon. The piece was created by sound artist Craig Colorusso, Rogers, Ark., and each box is activated and powered by direct sunlight, and each one generates a single note that Colorusso originally recorded with an electric guitar. Once all the boxes are active they form a B flat six chord, which contains four notes. Five boxes are committed to each of the four notes, with 20 boxes total in the installation. Colorusso has taken the portable installation to 19 states since 2009, and plans to make stops in all 50. Staff photo by Christopher Fryer
